MOON ROCK

Did you know that we have a lunar rock in the museum? There is only 5 in Canada! The 12 astronauts who walked on the Moon brought back approximately 384 kg of lunar rocks. Perserved with great care in a neutral atmosphere and elaborately studied, these priceless rocks are made up of the same elements found on Earth but in different proportions. In view of the great care given to studying them and keeping them in a controlled environment, we are extremely privileged to be able to have one of these lunar rocks here!
