FIELD TRIP TO THE COSMODOME

The combinations of program choices below will enable you to make a visit tailored to your needs. We’ve created options to help you achieve your field trip goals.

CORE PROGRAMS

Choose a program from the table below. These cannot be modified. However, it is possible to add an À la Carte activity to enhance your visit. Only one choice of basic program is allowed per group.

If you wish to extend your visit, add one or more À la Carte activities to your core program.

Pricing: Based on the selected program (only one core program per group). It is not possible to choose multiple core programs for a single visit (à la carte activities must be added to a single core program).
$5/student for the first additional à la carte activity (then, $1/student for each further additional à la carte activity)

Example 1: Little Astronaut (2h30 – $14/student) + IRRADI science workshop (1h – $5/student) = A 3.5-hour field trip at $19/student
Example 2: Simulator (3h – $17/student) + Virtual Mission (1h – $5/student) + IRRADI (1h – $1/student) = A 5-hour field trip at $22/student (formerly the Gemini Program + Space Visit)

Description: Spark curiosity for space exploration with this visit designed for younger students. This package includes: a guided museum tour, a visit of the Astralis spacecraft, astronaut training, a space snack, and an introductory robotics activity.

Target group: Preschool + Grade 1

Duration: 2h30

Price: 14$

Description: Each participant will experience an astronaut training simulator and assist their teammates during their sessions. This package also includes a guided museum tour and free exploration time.
Minimum height: 1.28 meters (4 ft 2 in) and maximum weight: 100 kg (220 lb)

Duration: 3h

Price: 17$

Description:Here’s a unique opportunity to explore the universe from the infinitely small to the infinitely large! “One Visit – Two Museums” combines the most popular activities of the Cosmodôme and
the Armand-Frappier Health Museum. For the space portion, this package includes a virtual mission, a guided museum tour, and free exploration time. At the Armand-Frappier Health Museum, students will take part in a lab activity and visit both the permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Target group: Starting from Grade 2

Duration: 4h15

Price: 21$

Description: A full immersion experience! This field trip includes astronaut training simulators, a virtual mission, a science workshop, an exclusive evening activity, and an overnight stay in the astronaut quarters.
Minimum of 24 participants.

Target group: Starting from Grade 4

Duration: From 3:00 pm to 9:00 am OR from 6:00 pm to 11:00 am

Price: 63$

Description: Includes 2 nights’ space module accommodations and allows students to experience the 4-chapter Cosmo Mission, an interactive virtual mission, try out all the simulators and more!
Meals and snacks are included for the duration of the stay.
Minimum of 24 participants.

Target group: Starting from Grade 4

Duration: 2 nights (also available in a shortened version (one overnight stay))

Price: $275 + taxes per person, One accompanying adult at $40 per quota of 12 children.

À LA CARTE ACTIVITIES

Each À la Carte activity includes a 30-minute self-guided visit of our interactive museum featuring the Destination: Space exhibition. This 30-minute visit is not included in the listed activity duration and must be added to the total time. Minimum of 12 participants, with one free chaperone per group of 12 children.

Pricing: $12/student for the first À la Carte activity
$1/student for each additional À la Carte activity

Example 1: Self-guided visit (30 min – included) + guided tour (30 min – $12/student) + virtual mission (1h – $1/student) = A 2-hour field trip at $13/student

Description: Why do we explore space? Dive into this question during a guided tour of our permanent exhibition Destination: Space, led by one of our educators.

Target group: For all

Duration: 30 minutes

Description: An immersive journey where students face challenges as space explorers on the Moon, Mars, or across the Solar System through interactive games in an exceptional setting.

Groupe visé: Starting from Grade 2

Duration: 1h

Classroom Workshop

Description: Robotics plays a key role in space exploration. Navigate your mini robot through this hands-on workshop suitable for all levels.

Target group: Starting from Grade 1

Duration: 1h

Classroom Workshop

Description: Become an aerospace engineer for a day. In this workshop, students must work as a team to assemble a space capsule that protects a crew from space radiation.

Target group: Starting from Grade 1

Duration: 1h

Description: Take part in your first space mission aboard the Astralis shuttle or as a ground specialist in the control tower. Your objective? Determine if life could have developed on Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons.
